Green Tomato Salsa

Lunch/Dinner Mexican

Description

A fresh, tangy salsa made with raw green tomatoes, green pepper, jalapeño, lime, and cilantro. It is bright, slightly spicy, and refreshing, with a crisp texture that works perfectly with chips, tacos, bowls, or as a topping for grilled dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium raw green tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, roughly chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño or green chili, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves

Directions

  1. Add the green tomatoes, green bell pepper, jalapeño, lime juice, salt, and cilantro to a food processor or blender.
  2. Pulse until the salsa reaches your desired consistency. Keep it slightly chunky rather than completely smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust the salt or lime juice as needed.
  4. Transfer the salsa to a bowl and serve chilled or at room temperature.
